If a VC pushes to shorten your token lockup, including "to boost your recruiting", what they're really telling you is "we intend to dump our bags as soon as you'll let us".

4 year/1 year cliff token lockups should be standard.

I think the baseline
- at least a year cliff, 4yr vesting schedule (preferably 8yr but I’ve been laughed for this)
- 50% of the tokens distributed for non insiders (LM, Airdrops, other protocol KPIs) 
- Purpose in the protocol, tied to its success, as opposed to just “governance token”

4year vesting / 1 year cliff should be the minimum imo
