One pizzeria in the UK charges an additional £100 for adding pineapple to pizza. According to the chef, this ingredient offends the Italian dish, so you have to "pay for it." The idea of putting canned pineapple on a ham pizza came to a Canadian chef in the 1960s. That's how "Hawaiian Pizza" appeared.
