The mansion on Fifth Avenue, designed by renowned architect Stanford White, was put up for sale again, but at a big discount — for $49.9 million instead of $72.5 million. Inside the 11-bedroom house there is a whole historical legacy: nine handmade wood-burning fireplaces, a limestone staircase and restored stained glass windows. There is also a climate-controlled wine cellar, a steam room, a jewel vault, and a rooftop terrace. Well, and a view of Central Park. We rate you, friends

A 20-year-old Irish woman sued for £16,000 after a security guard in the Zara fitting room pulled back her curtain. She claims that she was not dressed, and the staff did it because they assumed that she was a thief. The girl is a popular ticker, so she said that her reputation had suffered, and she herself had experienced "monstrous humiliation." As a result, the judge ruled that the actions of the staff were illegal, awarding the girl compensation.

This cute couple from France is celebrating their 71st consecutive Valentine's Day together. 91-year-old Giselle and 93-year-old Claude live in a nursing home and still love each other as much as they did at the beginning of their relationship (they have five children). They believe that the secret of their strong marriage is that they are able to find compromises and negotiate. In their opinion, modern youth wants to get everything at once, so at the first disagreement they pack their bags and part ways. Love to all!

A Ryanair passenger flying to London was forced to pay £50 for carrying a reusable water bottle onto the plane. The airline stated that the woman had violated the baggage rules. The backpack matched the size and weight, but she hung the water on the strap after the inspection. Near the gate, the staff noticed this and said that the bottle was considered the second bag, so either you have to pay or it will be removed from the flight.

A man from Blagoveshchensk will be brought to administrative responsibility for the fact that his cat meowed too loudly. The Russian left home for a week, and his cat, who was left alone at home, was so "screaming" that the neighbors had to call the police. The apartment was opened, the veterinarians examined the animal. He had food, water, he didn't need anything, and the doctors concluded that the cat was meowing just out of boredom. However, the punishment to the owner of the animal cannot be avoided, as the cat "significantly violated the rights of neighbors."

The Danes decided to buy California from Trump after the US president wanted to control Greenland. Among the expected advantages: good weather, avocado supplies and access to technology. All that remains is to raise the amount of $1 trillion for the purchase. Despite the fact that the petition was a joke, it has already collected more than 200,000 signatures.

27,000 salmon made an escape from a farm near the coast of Norway (the net broke). The company announced that it would pay €43 for each captured fugitive and called the incident a "disaster." This fish creates huge environmental problems, threatening wild salmon, reducing their genetic diversity, increasing infection with sea lice and intensifying competition for spawning grounds.

A 39-year-old engineer from England, the father of three children, lost about €630 million after his partner (or partner) threw out a bag with old computer parts, including a hard drive on which bitcoin was stored. The landfill, to which the "chest" with the whole fortune was taken, is going to be closed, as it is already overflowing. Now the poor guy wants to buy it back in order to start looking for his money in a pile of garbage.

In the UK, the road was closed for 6 weeks due to the breeding season of toads. This seasonal ban has been in effect since 2003 to protect the thousands of toads and frogs that make their way to their nesting lake. The streets are patrolled by volunteers. Before the introduction of such a ban on the movement of cars, 62% of toads crossing the road died. This figure has now dropped to 6%.

The English church refused to use gluten-free bread and alcohol-free wine in communion at the request of parishioners. The leadership stated that believers can then participate in the sacrament without consuming either. That's because wine, according to the rules, should be wine, and bread made not from wheat cannot be considered "bread." There can be no changes.

The world's first dog treat made from laboratory meat has gone on sale in the UK. To prepare it, take a small sample of a chicken egg, and then enrich it with vitamins and amino acids in the laboratory. The British believe that the demand for such food will be high, as many people do not want to feed their pets meat from slaughtered cattle.

Yesterday, it turns out, was World Nutella Day. The history of this product began with the sale of the first jar in 1964, although the original version of this paste was still in short supply after the war. Back then, due to the lack of coffee and cocoa, large amounts of nuts were added to the chocolate. So, the Nutella holiday has been celebrated since 2007. The idea was then suggested by a blogger from Italy. The initiative was immediately picked up by millions of chocolate pasta fans and began sharing unusual combinations that they adore: Nutella with bacon, French fries, broccoli, chips, and the most popular — with pasta. Who tried it?
