27,000 salmon made an escape from a farm near the coast of Norway (the net broke). The company announced that it would pay €43 for each captured fugitive and called the incident a "disaster." This fish creates huge environmental problems, threatening wild salmon, reducing their genetic diversity, increasing infection with sea lice and intensifying competition for spawning grounds.
