The English church refused to use gluten-free bread and alcohol-free wine in communion at the request of parishioners. The leadership stated that believers can then participate in the sacrament without consuming either. That's because wine, according to the rules, should be wine, and bread made not from wheat cannot be considered "bread." There can be no changes.
