was talking about masculinity / femininity and associated energies yesterday in the water during a surf with @nonlinear.eth (yes, i needed to include those details) and we stumped ourselves. are there any qualities or traits that are exclusively masculine or exclusively feminine? we think no.

I love this question! Balancing fem & masc energy has been central to my meditation study. My interpretation is Fem - surrender, being, receiving Masc - action, doing, directing What do you think?

I agree with this—more of a yin-yang interpretation? I find that when I reject the fem-masc spectrum it’s bc I subtly/subconsciously denigrate one side (when both are equally valuable)

yes, I'm interpreting as yin-yang - the subtle energies that exist within us regardless of gender. Love the idea of these traits being non-exclusive. I actively cultivate my fem energy.. receptivity, stillness, non-doing, otherwise I default to masc traits. How do you think this balance manifests in the web3 env?

I’ve been play around with language that infers fem-masc qualities… eg sometimes for meditation coaching, I interchange the translation for metta from loving-kindness (coded more feminine) to limitless goodwill (coded more masculine) when the client seems more receptive to the latter ☺️
