A trite point to make on this platform, I know, but it is crazy to me how much X just completely sucks now. 

Logging on is like to going to a bar you used to love, and now there's an expensive cover charge and arbitrary new rules, it's filled with the biggest douche bags you've ever seen, most of your friends aren't there anymore, and the once-intimate lighting has changed to hideous fluorescence -- and they can't even keep it on all the time. 

But it's still the only bar playing certain games on TV so you have no choice but to pop in.

By contrast, Warpcast feels like a hip bar with cool and delicious cocktails where everyone is super welcoming, but few of my friends hang here and most of the patrons work in a different industry than me and talk about stuff I don't understand.

I hope it stays this way and new people don’t just try to make it like Twitter/X, but with a wallet. Happy that you’ve joined and are seeing it this way!

Likewise — I hope it stays a place where there’s a lot to learn from each other and doesn’t become an echo chamber like how, for example, Bluesky feels.
