change my mind: warpcast rewards is just an airdrop except it can’t easily be farmed, everyone with an account is always eligible, and you don’t have to worry about the price of the token tanking 50% within hours of getting it

just because it’s USDC doesn’t mean it’s not a token

If we make the psychology of how people make decisions primary over the topology of the exchange, I’d say it’s different. Airdrop is used in the context of a potentially big gain due to wild speculation. So it’s easier to justify spending time on it. How people think about it > what it is CMV

we don't have enough sensory and compute to be certain about the future. so, *everything* is speculative. you deciding to read this cast was speculation on the return on your attention spent. which now you're starting to regret having done.

Yeah but that’s a useless way to make decisions out and about. Simple heuristics have been selected for by time

There is such as thing as metaphorical truth. Something where you’re better off acting as if it’s right. Treat all guns as if they’re loaded, for example

yup, your example with guns is a speculation that pays off better over time. thus sticks around. call it whatever you want at the end of the day you didn't have enough compute power to arrive at certainty and took a probability whether you thought of it as such or not.

Circling back I think we’re all better off operating as if static stablecoin rewards are different than the usual crypto airdrop 🤝

most of the times yes in this context my view is that when people say "crypto only has speculative pmf" it's better to just lean into it caveat, of course there are projects like yours that aren't the type of speculation that fits your definition
