Stop visualizing an EC in the Cartesian plane, it’s an unnatural geometric representation.

In affine coordinates it’s unclear how vertical line intersections, and the point an infinite are handled.

If you project onto a sphere via stereographic projection the issues fall away.

please share some good tutorials on projective coordinate system. 

i am stuck on moon math manual chapter 5 for about a month now. basically everything makes sense until the projective plane comes into picture

most intuitive explanation of projective spaces I have found so far is from this book: Appendix A of Rational Points on Elliptic Curves from Silverman and Tate
