You ever thought about doing it counterfactually? Take Substack. What if you sold subscriptions for it without the authors permission, BUT the money is sitting there waiting for them to claim it.

To avoid any protocol changes for fabric, just deploy them a smart contract wallet where control of it is done by proving they’re the Substack author I can help with some parts of that at /opacity I can let a subscriber prove they are subscribed on Substack, which they can use to claim a discount on the fabric one

One way to sell things on behalf of a creator but without the creator's permission is to use an oauth wallet derived from their social handles, such as @patch. The money accumulates but only the social account holder can claim it.
