1. Lie and say you don’t have cash 

2. Explain to them that it’s game theoretically a bad move to give money as it incentivizes more of the same behavior

In NYC this is unfortunately a horrible idea.

Option 3: don't carry cash and offer to buy food with your CC.

#1 If you have to, #2 is just blaming them for this shitty predicament we're all in, the other options are nice if you can/feel comfortable 💚
