There is a fundamental in flaw in photosynthesis where it gets less efficient as temperatures rise (given the current O2/CO2 ratio).

It’s a giant problem, and is exacerbated by projected droughts in many areas. IMO, this is one of the big problems humanity will have to solve.

It’s too complicated to boil it down to a general statement.

There is a temperature where Rubisco-carboxylation peaks.

As temps rise, anywhere below that temp will see crop yields rise, anywhere above it will see yields drop.

The problem I referred to also depends on water supply, so that must also be considered.

Photosynthesis is truly a beautiful system. Anyone who likes system design would enjoy it.

It’s poorly explained in textbooks IMO. Have always wanted to write a post going through it step by step.
