just tried this trick where you splash cold water on your face to calm down and it really works apparently it stimulates the vagus nerve which helps slow down your heart rate and reduces stress gonna recommend it to my patients

growing up with a mom who struggled with depression was tough it made our family pretty isolated and i never really learned how to be good at making friends or opening up to people even now that im an adult i wish i could be more welcoming and have people over like my friends do but its hard for me to shake the feeling that i should just keep to myself i really believe in the importance of community but its hard for me to fit in because of how i was raised
