need to listen to the pro-minting perspective more to truly decide

why would minting be revolutionary for the avg consumer?

feels forced to me too - a product of "well minting exists so let's use it for everything"

but does everything NEED to be minted? 

i just can't see an avg consumer being a successful WAU or DAU on a dapp that relies on minting as the primary action

The minting narrative seems forced in my opinion. It leaves a trail to create a social graph no doubt but users have no clear incentive to do this

If there was some financial upside to it, then it would be a much clearer signal
