4, 2, 1 in that order but depends on the use case and the level of on-chainness needed. first factor, transaction fees, second factor activity on-chain.

what's y'alls thinking for ETH L2 > Polygon PoS given that your stated first factor is transaction fees?

I guess after a certain point transaction fees start mattering less and ecosystem takes over. Also historically working with Polygon network hasn't been as smooth as the L2s. I should probably be more scientific about it while evaluating. 🙂

no that's super helpful and aligns with my expectations!

and in hindsight if I were to build an L2, I'd probably design the mechanism around these factors. not purely based on fee reduction.
