temptation to snag a Nakaya is strong context: Nakaya is run by a handful of retired pen makers. typically their pens are made to order but a few authorized retailers worldwide have ready-made ones (but usually only a few pieces per store). so i either pay international prices + wait 8-9 months for my pen to arrive but have it fully customized in every way OR pay cheaper japanese prices (~$250+ cheaper) and get one now

most of their pens are made of ebonite and finished with urushi lacquer. each pen comes with a pen sleeve made of Nishijin Ori; it’s a style where the threads are dyed before weaving.

I learn so much about pens from you, man. I like fountain pens, but my game is mostly limited to the Temu-type stuff 🀣 1134πŸ‘
