zora is best onchain ux i’ve ever seen for complete beginners w no onchain experience - it has embedded wallet, fund w fiat for mints, photos only so not guessing, insta like explore tab, mobile app is ready rodeo feels primed for current onchain user base and ppl on fc today, super simple ux to mint multiple types of media on base, seems there are more fc friends on there posting so potentially tapping the social graph better at least to start incredibly bullish on both, will be interesting to see if either add customization for ppl who have been in the space for a while - edition sizes, price, etc

Very strong summary. I don't see a huge different between the two but would agree Zora is currenlty better primed for net new users vs Rodeo being more geared for people currently onchain today. Fwiw I'm using Rodeo slightly more than Zora rn but I think that's cause I like the art on Rodeo more atm and my main Zora account isn't on my mobile app cause i don't like having my main hot wallet on a phone 1000 $DEGEN

Makes sense! Thanks for sharing I guess imo, it feels a bit like we’re segregating the same minting style across multiple platforms, which feels a bit counter intuitive for decentralized onchain activity. The argument being, I guess, that the minting of all can occur via fc, so it doesn’t matter the platform the mint originates at. It also feels like the price point is a step back for true creator monetization, shifting from actual “stock” to “penny stock” style How do you think it impacts the valuation of art?
