Why are there so many leftists within crypto? As Solana says in his bankless episode, crypto disintermediates and reduces the power of the state. I get why libertarians and rightists like crypto, but why leftists? Leftists should want state power to enact leftist policy goals if they care about leftist outcomes.

some leftists simply want equal access for all, crypto plays a big role in that

Doesn’t crypto have more inequality than fiat? More markets = more inequality, because people have vastly different abilities to contribute. Turns out talent isn’t evenly distributed.

Or maybe just there will be more economic inequality, and that’s why it’s a right leaning technology. Which is a good thing in my opinion.

i see the right leaning part as freedom and ownership maximalism, less government involvement, i’m for both i’m also for open access to global financial markets and tools imo crypto shouldn’t be a partisan stance at all
