every time i visit a new place it’s a reminder that we’re all so similar borders, language, beliefs give this illusion that we’re vastly different and the leaders/media tend to amplify that, but i just find it hard to believe personally feel it’s pretty clear that much of the human experience is universal

same observation: vast majority of people also don't even look at skin colour or any of that nonsense the populists try to separate us from another with. we all want: the best for our children, live as long as possible under decent conditions, want to be seen, love to give: bc it actually gives us satisfaction

such a good point, i don’t look the same as ppl here or other places i’ve been yet everyone has been so kind i get there are outliers in that, but for the most part it seems to hold true that ppl in general are kind to each other regardless of how someone looks, gives me a lot of hope for the future
