love this q, curious what everyone else thinks too! for me, it’s that the world doesn’t revolve around a specific place, country, culture, language, etc so many happy ppl living vastly different lives from the one i have known no right or wrong, just different, yet we all call the same world home 🫶

another that i’ve learned is anywhere can feel like “home” and “community” if u immerse yourself in it and take it slow often w travel i see rushed agendas, i’ve always found the best moments/memories come after getting to know a place for a while, understanding the norms, meeting ppl, and trying to truly see the world through a different pov we tend to spend 2-3 months at a time in a place, usually end up wishing it were longer!

i haven’t done much of travelling yet, but i’d like to one day getting to see and experience different cultures outside yours is definitely one thing someone should do…. create memories how many countries have you been to?

I learned so much about myself during a 2 week solo roadtrip 2 years ago. And seeing other people doing the things that really excite them made me realize that i’m unhappy in my job and finally made me look for another one. Much from my happiness in life comes from this trip alone

Exactly, best thing when travelling is experiencing things from different perspectives. Very eye-opening and valuable. Sometimes I adopt those new perspectives even when I'm back home. It's a way to learn and grow

What I love the most in traveling is that u will find some pple have literally nothing but still happy and do good things and they give and can even host you to their homes and share their precious things with you and anything they have without expecting something in return I’ve came across this many many times

I agree with you - it has been so good to learn from people who have had completely experiences of this life than I have. I noticed that a lot of our experiences are filtered through language, and I wonder how much language impacts exactly how we experience the world. Either way, I've learned a lot from people and it has really opened my mind and made me a more open and accepting person.
