on a scale of 0-10 with 10 meaning they will need deep understanding: how much technical understanding of ethereum do you think the average onchain user will need by the end of the decade?

hard to know what is average! I do think many “regular” people will gain a basic understanding of why this thing is trustworthy/reliable/hard, why it can be a substitute for an institution. But that doesn’t require much technical knowledge.
