With channels changing to a community model, we should really let users onboard directly to these channels. 

If I onboard a user to /success and subsequently Warpcast, use the subscription payment to the channel as a signal to subsidize initial storage costs.

channels as standalone apps will likely make a lot of sense as the network scales - features built unique to that community

i agree, but think there is room for both

i.e. i’d like to see espn integrate the fc social graph and have commentary based on that in specific niche channels

believe that is way to onboarding billions to fc sooner - versus doing so only through bringing them onto a social super app like warpcast

Disagree, people don’t like to install new apps, they prefer apps that can do more (but not super apps, at least in the US)

Warpcast is powerful because it puts all of the channels in one place, that’s a good thing

super curious how many gate to keep small, vs going public link and figuring out mod as they go

I am curious to see how the new model works, part of me does not want to pay to be able to cast in a channel, part of me looks at it as a contribution to a community where we all have common goals to grow together and support each other

yep! think about the reddit or twitter size communities tho, even if niche, they could be standalone apps if portability was there

Totally agree! As the network grows, standalone apps tailored to specific communities will definitely have their own value.

That really smart, that would be very interesting 
With the ability to exchange communication across apps just like clients on the FC hub
Though it might be stressful having so many individuals apps will there be a solution for that
