How many times do I have to repeat that most users and developers on Farcaster did not know Varun or myself prior to joining Farcaster.

And in some cases have *become* friends because they stuck around early on when no one else cared. We've spent years with this people socializing on this social network. :)

Don't conflate something that's earned / built with cronyism.

this is me as well. didn't know anybody here, certainly not dan or varun. just posted every day here for 2 years when DAU was like 45 people and the only thing people talked about were note taking apps.

sometimes miss casting into the void in 2023 then once outta every like 10 casts it would resonate w someone and we had a long random convo, good times lol

i don’t think that magic has quite been lost yet, had quite a few random convos in my 3 months or so here, it’s what i love about the place

oh for sure! def still have these random and async convos too, also one of my fav parts about fc

referring to how it used to happen a lot less, casting things into the void w zero likes and comments was common so when someone responded and we had convo it was the best 😂

so like the pre-powerbadge experience then 🥲🥲

but yeah i get you, i think i may still be at that stage at times 🤣
