On being sad as a kid. When I was a kid and crying about something my mum would say (after what seemed like not long): That’s enough now, or don’t be silly. The first time I cried with my now husband he said: Let it all out. 4 words = beautifully held. Guess what I now say to our daughter when she cries?

So important to let emotions be so they can be felt for what they really are. Our oldest had a breakdown yesterday, cried really long and came back afterwards better and lighter. Beautifully spoken and nice to meet thanks to @chriscocreated Here's some of that weird currency: 150 $degen

Thank you for your kind words and weird currency. I’m glad your oldest is lighter now. Emotions are sometimes categorised as good or bad but I try to let them emerge and treat them as information, & get my daughter to do the same. Sorry I have no strange coin to give you. My thoughts will have to do for now! :)

Your thoughts are all I need! On that topic, he called me in his room today when he was already in bed to tell me I’m the best dad of the world even when he sometimes gets mad at me. He said that’s just part of it… He’s so wise and I love him so much.
