I had such a profound and enlightening experience today—an absolute "aha" moment! The focus of my lecture at Fotografika Academy today was on how to work with people and photograph them in a way that captures deep emotional vulnerability and openness. To truly explain HOW I do this, I realized I needed to share something that I’ve mostly kept private: my spiritual journey and my dedication to ‘waking up.’ Given that this was in an academic setting, I hesitated at first—worried I might come across as a bit ‘out there.’ But I decided to take the risk and embrace my authentic self. And it paid off. The lecture was a great success, met with overwhelmingly positive feedback. Many shared how deeply it resonated with them. But what truly moved me was a message from a male student, thanking me for affirming that he’s on the right path with his own artistic journey. As it turns out, we follow the same teachings and teachers. It felt like such a beautiful confirmation! Today, I rest among my Saints

This is a great example that being honest and genuinely yourself always pays off. I’ve been on quite the journey myself and was hesitant at first to talk about it, but the older I get, the more the masks come off. Thanks for sharing this and you may always enlighten us further. 🤍🤍🙏

Thank you so much dear Erik! Yes, it is always more unsafe in a way to share everything in what is seen as a professional or more academic environment. I always bring a lot of my personal experience into my interviews, but today I feel as if I shared more intimately about my spiritual journey and belief system. It felt ripe and ready 🫂🫂🫂
