Now another good reason to build some based interactive live streaming web3 apps using Livepeer. @unlonely is doing versus tokens. @bonfire is doing creator branded streams. MyPrize is building a live streaming onchain casino SankoTV is building a streaming platform and a gaming ecosystem. What are you building?

This requires client interoperability. I’ve been speaking with a few folks in the Farcaster ecosystem, and there is a spec for video frames with this in mind - https://github.com/streamethorg/video-frame Just requires some protocol level work, so it becomes a part of the spec.

You're right that it's just a new label on decentralized resource allocation networks that have been around for awhile. They bootstrap supply using cryptoeconomic incentives, and then open marketplace competition drives down price. Livepeer has grown to transcode over 3,000,000 minutes of video/week for 100's of apps.

Small correction - this is a Farcaster community project by many developers - I’m just helping with the spec. Not a FIP yet, but would love to get feedback from the core team it can become a FIP.
