some of the people with the strongest emotional reaction to the recent market downturn are those whose near-term lives won't materially change.

no immediate plans to buy a home, retire, pay for school, etc. no liquidity needs, no LPs to whom they need to deliver.

Probably overstacked on leverage as well for no good reason other than feeling like they have to “make it” right now
