It’s insane how much money some of these beaches cost per year, millions and millions. Many factors involved (harbors changing shore currents, lack of sediments bcs dams, storms,…) but mainly it’s due to poor planning on where to build them 🥲

Crazy enough they built parts of Miami Beach with 2 elephants back in the 1920’s when first terraforming the area. Seems they likely weren’t considering the implications 100 years later
