Everyone who vilified Chappell for her comments about motherhood were lacking any empathy whatsoever. WHY are her friends with kids unhappy? We should be interested and concerned. This is my stance on it below… Let’s not get it twisted - we ALL love our children more than anything. That’s not what she was speaking about. She didn’t say “my friends don’t love their children”

all of my friends with children have significantly less fun than they used to, are significantly more stressed, and get significantly less sleep and rest. do they regret having kids? nah would they say they are as happy and carefree as they used to be? hell nah would they say they are content or satisfied with their lives? some yes, some no

More stress, less sleep is spot on! And it’s expensive af No words can describe the love, fulfillment and purpose having Kids has brought me - but the early years of having kids is HARD. And I’m sure as they grow, It’ll always have its own unique set of challenges for their age. our country does not provide support as other countries similar to us do and it’s very hard on mom’s and Parents Here’s a text from one of my friends who’s paying $1000 a week for Childcare it’s absolutely ridiculous It’s like you’re completely screwed until your kid goes to kindergarten
