"But the fees are too high" Ethereum L1 in the long term isn't where daily users will transact. It will be the DA/settlement layer. L2s will (and are!) taking care of the high fee issues

"But the UX of L2 sucks!" This is such an easily solvable problem. In the last 2 years alone it's been 10x improved. Wallets will eventually abstract pain points away.
