Well and their guest was wildly making unproven assumptions like other people breathe. I left under the impression that he had also veered far beyond his own core competency. AI seems to be a black box to him. This indicates that he does not understand it IMO.

The truly scary case is that people won’t all have equal access to it though imo. We just need to remember to include humans in the thinking around this because they supply the will to computers. Superintelligence will look like a DAO, not a single microprocessor.

Evil humans who behind keyboards working with modern AI systems to wreak havoc on the other hand, is scary as hell to me. Not saying AI shouldn’t be developed with caution, but rather it suddenly sprouting a will of its own and being unstoppable on a predetermined inconvenient objective is the least of our worries.
