Prediction markets are all the rage now, but who uses them? I haven't seen my friends use them.

Some results and predictions are shared on social media, but now every startup I get pitched to develop for uses prediction markets.

It can't work.

You need liquidity to make a good market, so there will only be a few if at all more then one dominant prediction market.

Yet most do not focus on creating liquidity and adoption.

Solve for consumer habits becoming to bet on your market vs tweeting or sending predictions to friends in direct messages.

have you been in the polymarket discord? there seems to be a decent amount of people. certainly nowhere near uniswap, but still early days

i think the liquidity problem gets fixed if there is core user psychology to bet on these kinds of things. money always follows demand

I am not saying it’s never going to happen I am merely saying it hasn’t happened yet and every new startup being a prediction market is the biggest Bs I’ve seen this year

There won’t be 100 large scale good venture outcomes in prediction markets
