food: Dangerously Delicious Pies, Blue-Pit BBQ, Golden West, Woodberry Kitchen
fun: the harbor, the aquarium, the science center (i'm a parent lol), steal a kia and drive it into the bay

those are all pretty mainstream options. clean, upfront, pay with money.
