in the future, where decentralized social networks reign supreme: a dev who makes a popular bot might get banned/shadowbanned by the network. however, if enough users and supporters stake their reputation to vote for them, the account automatically gets unbanned and goes back to operating

Getting shadow banned doesn't sound decentralized to me. Decentralization is freedom, no silly rules like with centralized social networks. MeWe is a good decentralized social network if you ask me.
