97/98 was the best year for movies i'm adding a couple photos below but it's misleading because it's not about a few standout movies the depth of quality movies from this time is just absolutely absurd genuinely unbelievable from the perspective of the 2020s

Insane. And to think that cinema also had Gattaca, Jackie Brown, Lost Highway and animation had Perfect Blue, Mononoke and The End of Evangelion. 🤯🤯🤯
