1. we need a dead simple sign up. 
2. passkeys are a delightful user experience.
3. we are YAGNI true believers.
4. default to learning new things!

i use a custom pw manager other than iphone pw and its always a terrible ux using passkeys there vs. any other form of signup

I don’t know what the exact issue is but I have experienced the same bad ux with any app using passkeys as

I’m also aware that this is improving over time

so the issue is interoperability? Apple has extended the Passwords app to Chrome, so they will extend passkeys to other apps and experiences inevitably.

and what other options are out there that are better than passkeys today and 5 years from now?
