I staked all of mine but no allo yet. It says it can take 48 hrs but I hope I don't have to hold 10k on top of staking....

It seems to be taking just 24 hours, they take a snap shot once a day.

and nope you only have to have at least 10k staked in the vault. 
allo is now based on how much you have staked and what % that is of the total pool

I staked 10k. My concern is that somehow they have another wallet (I had connected only for a few days) associated to my account. Bloody mess. I get the claim on that one and have to move it.
