Hello world, the last 10 days I had no internet, could not talk anyone, no reading, and was completely offline I was in rural Romania meditating every day for ten hours, from 4:30am until 9pm. I finally took a 10 day Vipassana course. It was absolutely not fun, but immensely meaningful - It took me 3 full days of ten hour meditations to finally calm my brain and be able to consistently see my thoughts, on day 2 i was like wow i’m insane - I didn't miss my phone as much as I thought I would. I more missed my friends and family and thought of my phone as a tool to message them - Nothing is that deep, including this post, my social presence, blah blah The secret to peace and happiness is understanding life is full of volatility and not reacting to it. I've read a lot of spiritual books and seen workshops and logically understood it.. but Vipassana helped me truly understand on an experiential body level. This was a gift and I hope one day you can take 10 days and gift it to yourself dhamma dot org

do you think jumping in for a 10 day retreat was the right move? Or would you recommend starting at 3 days?
