had a bit of discourse with @reidtandy @humpty.eth @gramajo.eth this morning on emc about whether it's possible for speculation and patronage to coexist and i'm wondering what the fc community thinks? does price speculation inevitably always turn patronage into something else? are there any examples of creators you've seen who've managed to create a revenue model for themselves that involves both patronage and speculation?

interesting convo! 🤔 i think it's totally possible for both to coexist. some artists turn their fans into stakeholders, making them feel part of the journey. what do others think? 🤷♂️
