One of the most famous foods in Rome (and all of Italy) is gelato; a soft-serve ice cream that comes in a variety of flavors. There are some great gelato places in Rome, including Frigidarium, Come il Latte, Otaleg, and Giolitti. This ice cream differs from regular ice cream in several ways; for example, the texture of gelato is stretchy and thick, and it uses more milk, less cream, and no egg yolks. Interestingly, it is low in fat and melts more slowly in the open air than regular ice cream.π₯πΈπ₯
