trying to practice a hand stand hold. how do i stop from flipping over?? tips welcome

getting started: instead of kicking your legs up, put your hands closer to your feet and hinge at your hips, using your core to lift your legs up. you can use a little bounce from your base foot to start the lift, but you shouldn't be pushing off so much the momentum tips you over. staying in the handstand: point your toes and try to get your trailing leg to meet your leading leg as soon as possible and don't let them separate. imagine a thread is pulling your legs up toward the ceiling and really engage your core and glutes the whole time. keep your eyes between your hands, or slightly in front (former gymnast πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ )
