Vitalik’s Twitter account was hacked. The users that interacted with the malicious link lost $691,000. A lot of crypto security advice gets posted but one I rarely see is to use a security extension like Stelo or Pocket Universe. Get warned if you’re about to be drained.

We’re working on this in Brave Wallet. Coming very soon. Will be on all devices. Sad to see this continue to happen.

Twitter is so full of spam and scam that the level of greed required to fall for this shit must be extremely high

Some people got drained by signing the contract using a mobile wallet. I don’t think there are any services like Stelo that work in mobile

I was curious, so went to the link with @LocksmithWallet and it failed to drain anything. Locksmith operates with an empty EOA and a soulbound NFT for permissions. Can't drain what can't move or what isn't there.

I kinda doubt more than half of that money was from unaffiliated addresses

Wallet Guard has an extension as well that warns you of what you’re signing and if you’re being drained.
