it's the highest in South America now, and is higher than some European countries and approaching Portugal

i was in Uruguay in February and it actually feels a lot like visiting Europe

I am also fascinated by Uruguay.

My ex-boss (who grew up in and was educated in Colombia) called it a mythical El Dorado for global derivatives heads, who could smell from their offices in London and NY the revenues from Scandi, Canadian, Aussie and Uruguayan pension funds.

I might write a book about the servicing of non-US, non-EU public+private pension funds by the derivatives arms of US and European banks, before during and after the GFC
