that's 3% of users who place trades on the site
a lot of that is probably churn, so I'm going to add new analytics events to track "viewed a trading pair" to zero in on the right part of the funnel to optimise against

Nice. Wouldn’t count users that bounce after 3 secs as part of DAU. Unless looking to inflate numbers.

If you have log in / connect wallet that’s a more ideal measure of an active user.

yeah there are probably better ways. gonna move to posthog and off vercel, very limited feature set and I've already reached some limit after 48h so they want to charge me for sending probablty ~<10k data points 😵
