Interesting fact: It turns out that pineapples grew in Russia even before the revolution. That is, several centuries ago. They were grown in greenhouses at rich houses in St. Petersburg. This photo is from the beginning of the 20th century, the exact year could not be determined. I really wanted to share this amazing fact.

More than that, at the time of Caterina the Great the pineapples not just grown in Russia, but even exported to Europe, a good business of late 1770-s. I saw the greenhouses, very elaborated drawings, with daily tasks written for a gardner.
