Not at all. You and anyone else can take a Noun they own and deposit it into the $nouns contract and receive 1M $nouns. You could then for example put it into a DEX liquidity pool, or just start tipping your nounish friends :)

I guess my real question is, if we wanted to do a prop house/rounds that rewarded people in $Nouns, how do we do that? Does the Governor contract control the Nouns contract, so that we can vote?

I very much want to see PH rounds that use $nouns as a reward! The way I would do it is: Pass a Nouns DAO proposal that: 1. deposits a DAO-owned Noun into the $nouns contract, get 1M $nouns back 2. transfers some or all of the incoming $nouns to a PH-controlled wallet 3. Let @seneca work his magic :) wdyt?

OK I got it, thanks. All of the Nouns is in the $nouns contract but can be unlocked with Nouns. I think what you suggest is good. I want to see people rewarded in $nouns in various ways, so we'll just have to melt a bunch of nouns to have a reward pool.
