I think many users skip posts in languages they don’t read and to the algo that makes it look “boring” or uninteresting since no one interacted but it’s just because they can’t read it. Being able to post natively and with some English is going to be game changer for their visibility!

I love and I mean LOVE when I can see both languages and I imagine other people do as well.

Anytime I have the opportunity to do this with @tomos or @eiteengo, I do.

The core of the network is English speaking. Pretty hard game to play if you don't speak English unfortunately.

I expect as the network scales other clients to cater to international users.

As @dwr.eth mentioned yesterday, non-English (including Japanese) activities are not eligible for PB. However, by increasing the number of Japanese PBs, we aim to regain the declining number of active Japanese users.

I also understand your opinion now.
I think the current problem is that Japanese PB holders have to contact OG and other higher PB holders in English to maintain and improve their ranks, and the structure is such that they cannot participate Japanese community. 

To solve this problem, I believe that the Japanese community should be given the opportunity to create an environment in which they can independently evaluate excellent content within the Japanese community (in other words, to make the Japanese community independent).

This not what I meant. Language isn't a specific input.

It's more that the power badge algorithm is based on engagement from other power badge users. 

So if few people who have the power badge today speak Japanese, harder for Japanese speakers to get it.

I think it's an overstatement to say that non-English activities are not "eligible" for PB. More like the chance you get a PB with Japanese is very low.

I agree that we can fix this over time as more Japanese speakers get PBs!

I knew the Japanese community was out of PB's assessment.
I'm sad to hear that, but I guess it can't be helped.
They can't understand the content.
But if I write both Japanese and English, as I got a hint today, I wonder if it would be eligible for evaluation.
