Do you make conscious effort to avoid that your children don’t have them or you think some may be character building?

I try not to shelter my son from life, but I also try to teach him to avoid the traumas of my childhood

probably sometime around age 6, the first time he pushed back on a minor but negative behavior I didn't realize I was doing

At what age do you think he might started to understand some of the things you were teaching him?

tough line to straddle

no one i've met has escaped from some kind of traumatic experience

but damn there are some I'd rather him avoid
