I witnessed a close friend throw away his apartment and everything he owned, close to a million in a few months on shitcoins. The embarrassment of it all pushed him into relentless drug and alcohol use, which completely flipped him into schizophrenia.
Today, he talks to himself like he is constantly on a Discord voice channel. Incredibly sad.
