Interesting... my brother is the lead singer for "Ships Have Sailed" - is it only the artist/copyright holder who can upload IP to /nook ?

He's not a Web3 native, but deep in Web2 / the music industry IRL...

We use the Spotify API so being on Spotify is the only requirement

His music is definitely on Spotify... I guess my question is, does he need to give any special permissions, or can a fan/brother put his music on /nook without the artist's explicit consent?

I understand this is an edge case, since I know the artist - but it also correlated to the set of artists that I do NOT know personally, but whose work I would also share (if it's easy/legal for me/good for them) - and re: the last, I assume they receive compensation via Spotify for all engagement their music gets through nook?

Cool! Thanks for answering the noob questions, I'll try to get onto the platform and get his music added, then see what else I can think of... as a writer,  of course my next thought is "I wonder if it supports ebooks/audiobooks" 🤔
